M anassas, Virginia is a charming city located only 45 minutes away from Washington, D.C in Prince William County. This area is currently going through a renaissance due to its great location and very strong economy. Residents and businesses alike both benefit from the close proximity of several large metropolitan areas, although still keeping the affordability of a smaller sized city.

Although the city was only incorporated in 1975, Manassas has a storied history. Ever since the 1700's this area has consistently grown into what is now known as Prince William County. Manassas is famous for having the first major battle of the Civil War. There are several museums in the city including the Manassas Museum. This museum has many pictures and video re-enactments that describe the old days of Manassas. Manassas' ongoing growth and development have made it a very popular relocation destination.

The economy in Manassas is soaring while it maintains a very low 3.7% unemployment rate. Taking advantage of many shopping malls, retail stores, and manufacturing firms the average household income for Manassas is $60,000. There is a lot of cultural diversity in Manassas. The Harris Pavilion offers summer evening dancing, Sunday afternoon concerts, ice cream socials, and Friday family movies amongst other events. In the late fall and winter months the Harris Pavilion is transformed into a beautiful outdoor ice skating rink with lessons to improve all skill levels. Manassas is also home to the Center for the Arts, and the Prince William Symphony.

This district serves the educational needs of approximately 58,000 students while maintaining 74 schools. There are quite a lot of higher learning institutions in the area including George Mason University and George Washington University. Both campuses are less than 32 miles away and both schools see an enrollment of over 16,000 annually.
